"I don't usually write testimonials, but I'm writing this one in the hope that someone who is feeling isolated and depressed might read it.
No one would have described me as depressed. I was usually the one who co-workers came to for advice, or the person who friends would call for a pep talk.
On the outside, I had it all, but on the inside, I could find no joy.
I had built my life around an image of being strong, and I did not want to reveal how powerless I felt.
This past summer, I decided I did not want to live the rest of my life feeling this way.
I decided to dedicate 6 weeks of my life to my own well being. During this 6 weeks, I came to the TMS Health and Wellness center and committed to try everything they had to offer.
I showed up for daily TMS treatments, I read about depression and the scientific basis for TMS and mindfulness, I started weekly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and did weekly mindfulness homework exercises.
In short I was a lot of work, but I spent that 6 weeks looking inwards at my thoughts and habits, and made a conscious decision as to how I wanted to live the rest of my life.
I can't tell you it's a magical cure, but if you really commit, and do the work, you will see and feel a dramatic change in yourself."
